Fidelia Cascini

Fidelia Cascini is a physician and researcher qualified to serve as Associate Professor in Legal Medicine and in General and Applied Hygiene. She teaches at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.

She is Head of the Scientific Secretariat of the Presidency at the Italian National Institute of Health.

She is President of the Board of Directors of the Community of Practice of the Competent Authorities of the European Health Data Space for secondary use at the European Commission.

She is Italy’s representative on the EU Committee of the European Health Data Space.

She is co-chair of the Clinical and Human Engagement Work Stream of the Global Digital Health Partnership.

She is a member of the Working Group on Clinical Research at the Ministry of Health.

She is a member of the National Coordination Centre of Territorial Ethics Committees for clinical trials on medicinal products for human use and on medical devices at AIFA (Italian Medicines Agency).

She is the author of about 90 scientific publications on digital health and public health, and of 4 monographs on the secondary use of health data and health risk management.
